World Paella Day: A Celebration of Valencia

Friday, September 20 | 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Public Square & Gardens

Despite its humble beginnings as a dish cooked by farmers and herders in Valencia and Alicante, paella is now celebrated for its mix of textures and flavors — and it’s known around the globe as the symbol of Spanish cuisine.

While we enjoy this classic dish all year long, we always feel extra celebratory when World Paella Day rolls around on September 20th.

Join Mercado Little Spain at Public Square & Gardens as we honor the holiday and celebrate Valencia (the birthplace of paella!) with our Paella Valenciana with chicken, saffron, rice, tomato and rosemary.

Can't make it on the 20th? Stop by our Paella Kiosk at Little Spain, open daily from 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Not in New York? Bring the best of España home with Mercado Little Spain’s Paella, exclusively available for pick up or delivery via Goldbelly and UberEats.
